me: “We got very tired today, but tomorrow we’ll go to Nice and we will take a walk and rest there. Can we?”
We woke up at the little caravan, 3 kilometers from the French border at the place called Latte.
We woke up without our legs, arms and without whole body in general, but with croissant and cappuccino which made the whole situation better. The second croissant made situation even better so we packed our stuff and we went on the short road towards Nice, some 30 kilometers or so. Of course, approximate evaluations are never right on the hilly routes and because of that we crossed distance of 44km and horrible 1400m climb for that distance. ⛰ 🏔 🌋.
Though, the weather, the sea, the landscapes, the scents and whole nature in general made that those hours of riding pass very quickly. Or the close presence of Novak Djokovic’s residence had positive effect on our energy.
Monte Carlo is colorful, curved, hilly little town under construction. Except few short breaks we didn’t stop anywhere longer.
Our first and only pause-pause was at the top of Monte Carlo where we stopped to buy some grapes, watermelon and to take a break.
We arrived at Nice around 3, we left our bikes at the accommodation, for the first time in the past 4 days dressed up decently and went in a short walk which resulted with falling in love totally with the town, rose at the beach and getting back home at midnight.
Today we will continue further towards the Fréjus and after that as far as we get. :)
